On the occasion of Pastor Louis Carlo’s commissioning service as lead pastor of Abounding Grace Church, Pastor Lou affirmatively responded to each of the following questions. On this basis, founding Pastors Rick and Arlene Del Rio charged him to faithfully shepherd the congregation and willingly stepped aside that he might also lead them into the future of Abounding Grace.

- Do you this day vow to uphold the mission of Abounding Grace to transform individuals and communities with the unconditional love of Christ?To that end…
- Will you steadfastly fall in love with Jesus daily, studying his word, sitting at his feet, and practicing his presence?
- Will you sacrificially love and serve your bride Lorena, your firstborn Joaquin, and your extended family as your first ministry priority?
- Will you faithfully intercede, care for, and protect your flock and congregational family at Abounding Grace?
- Will you compassionately demonstrate the gospel beyond the walls of the church, to the marginalized and vulnerable in our community?
- Will you prophetically confront injustice and proclaim truth that liberates the oppressed?
- Will you lead us in the character and with the same attitude as Christ Jesus, who made himself nothing and took the form of a servant, humbling himself even to death on a cross?
- Will you faithfully preach and teach the uncompromising Good News of Jesus?
Having served alongside you in pastoral ministry for ten years, and walked with you in your spiritual journey for seventeen years;
Having watched you mature as a man, a son, a husband, a father, and a leader; and demonstrate an unmistakeable call and anointing to pastor this church at this time;
On this 11th Day of November, 2017, I now install you as Lead Pastor of Abounding Grace Ministries.” – Pastor Rick Del Rio
