Grace Sustains

“I chased grace a long time, before saying yes to Christ. He’s had my heart ever since. Abounding Grace has been the constant along the journey, since 2000. Through ups and downs, sorrows and joys, grace covers – every day – usually through the people that lift you up when you’d rather lay down and just let go. They encourage you, dust you off, and tell you that you are enough. They cover you in prayers. Then they go above and beyond, helping to make ends meet. And you can breathe a little easier, after crying tears of joy first.”  – Victoria Alvarez

Grace Multiplies

“I came to know the Lord in 2005, but it wasn’t until I was hospitalized for depression after Hurricane Sandy that I ever really understood grace. Even though I felt helpless and couldn’t see light at the end of the tunnel, Abounding Grace and my wonderful wife never stopped praying and encouraging me. Two brothers visited me in the hospital, and stood with me through my recovery. Pastor Lou never stopped trusting me, even inviting me to lead the A/V ministry. Trusting me with leadership has meant a lot to me, as I can use my technical skills to better serve our church. I most enjoy training others, leading our team, and equipping the next generation.” – William Alvarez
